Fischer, Oleta G.

Oleta was born December 7, 1942, in Gladewater, TX and passed away February 11, 2021, in Ponchatoula, LA at age 78.  

She was a member of Crossgate Church of Robert, and is survived by her children, Devonna Leavell, David Devon Leavell, and William Lee Leavell; step children, Kim Edwards and Richard Land; seven grandchildren; and three great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews who dearly loved her; siblings, Patsy Farmer (Rodney), Linda Sue Wheeler (Pete), Betty Jean Tucker, and Shirley Frensley (Buddy).  She is preceded in death by her husband, Richard A. “Dick” Fischer; daughter, Kandee Leavell; siblings, Lois McDaniel, Burnis McDaniel, and Boyd McDaniel; and brother in law, Denny Tucker.  

Visitation will be at Crossgate Baptist Church, 22494 Highway 190, Robert, LA, Saturday, February 20, 2021, from 1:00 pm until funeral services at 3:00 pm conducted by Rev. Louis Husser.  

Interment will follow in Sand Hill Cemetery, Ponchatoula.  Pallbearers will be Christopher, Michael, Chance and Dawson Leavell, Justin Fredricks, and Johnny Joiner.
