Odie Cox, Jr.

Odie Cox Jr., 59 years old of Tickfaw, Louisiana, passed away on Saturday, September 24, 2016, In Hammond. He was born on Sunday, March 31, 1957, in Hammond, Louisiana to Odie and Florence Cox, Sr. Odie enjoyed life and loved fishing, his church and Nascar but especially loved spending time with his family.

Odie is survived by his sister, Terry Tate and her husband Donald, his daughter, Monica Cox, his nieces, Felicia and Tiffany and nephew Paydon and great nephew Jace.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Odie and Florence Cox, Sr. and his sister, Sheila Cox Sterling.

A Visitation for Odie will be held on Thursday, September 29, 2016 from 9:00 am until 11:00 am at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home in Hammond. A Funeral Service Celebrating Odie's Life will immediately follow visitation at 11:00am in the funeral home chapel.  Interment will follow at Johnson Cemetery in Tickfaw.
