Norman "Wade" Gordon, Sr. passed away on Thursday, November 16, 2017. He was a resident of Holden, Louisiana. Wade was a beloved husband, father, brother, and uncle. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Albany and a member of James Chapel United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Mary Ann Lewis Gordon; three sons, Norman Wade Gordon, Jr. and his wife Lorena of Hineston, LA, Walter Jewel Gordon and wife Monica of Livingston, LA, and Ethan Brock Gordon of Holden, LA; two daughters, Roxanne Guitreau and husband Gervais of Livingston, LA, and Kelli Evon Gordon Guitrau and husband Brandon of Livingston, LA; 11 grandchildren; 3 brothers, Ervin Dudley Gordon of Ponchatoula, Archie Gordon and wife Alice of Holden, LA, and David Gordon of Springfield, LA; 4 sisters, Caroline (Cat) Williams and husband James of Laurel, MS, Ollie June Gordon of Holden, LA, Annie Nichols of Ponchatoula, LA, and Rachel Naquin and husband Jimmy of Livingston, LA; and mother in law, Lucille Pierson of Holden, LA.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Walter Jewell Gordon and Effie McCarroll Gordon; brother, Sylvester Gordon and sister Pearl Nickins; and special sister in law, Evie Brown.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend visitation at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, Hammond, 2000 N. Morrison Blvd, Hammond, Louisiana 70401, on Saturday, November 18, 2017 from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm. Visitation will continue on Sunday, November 19, 2017, at the funeral home from 11:00 am until the Funeral Service at 2:00 pm.
Interment will follow at James Chapel Cemetery.
