Norma Jean Stamper

Norma Jean House Stamper, better known as Jean, of Ponchatoula, Louisiana, peacefully passed away on Tuesday, January 14, 2025, at the age of 90, surrounded by her family. She was born on Friday, December 14, 1934, in New Orleans, Louisiana, the daughter of the late Freddie Larkin House and Mabel Moreau House.  

Jean is survived by her children, Barbara Lynn Blanchard, Larry David Stamper (Jill), Sherry Bertrand (Wayne), and Carol Denny (Ron); grandchildren Jeffrey, Ross, Katy, Jackie, Nicole, Bridget, Cade, Jake, Taylor, and Ollie; and numerous great-grandchildren. 

 In addition to her parents, Jean was preceded in death by her loving husband of 69 years, Lawerence "Larry" D. Stamper, and sister, Barbara Meyers.  

A Graveside Service will be held at Sand Hill Cemetery, Highway 22 East, Ponchatoula, Louisiana 70454 on Saturday, February 1, 2025, at 1:00 pm.
