Norma Gean Reid

Norma Gean Reid, of Ponchatoula, Louisiana, passed away on Friday, August 9, 2019, at Richard Murphy Hospice House at the age of 74. She was born on August 28, 1944, in Ponchatoula, Louisiana, the daughter of the late Erney Granger and Elsie Rogers Granger.

Norma is survived by her daughters, Rhonda G. Cupolo and Stacey R. Sanchez (Lawrence); sons, Stanley Reid, Jr. and Byron A. Reid (Michele); grandchildren, Shannon Reid, Byron Reid II, Rebecca Reid, Allison Midkiff, Richard Midkiff, Courtney Brandon, Christopher Hunkin, Andrea Cupolo, Bryan Motichek, and Kaitlyn Barron; 18 great grandchildren; sister, Vanessa Burgess; brothers, Ernie O. Granger, Troy Granger, and Billy Ray Posey; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Norma was preceded in death by husband, Stanley Lee Reid, and two sisters, Wyvonia Akes and Virginia Snyder.

Family and friends will be received at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, 100 W. Magnolia St., Ponchatoula, Louisiana 70454, on Friday, August 16, 2019 from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm.

Visitation will continue at Harry McKneely - Ponchatoula on Saturday, August 17, 2019 from 9:00 am until the Funeral Service begins at 11:00 am.

Interment will follow at Parklawn Memorial Gardens in Hammond, Louisiana.
