Nora Lena Bentivegna Lumino

Nora Lena Bentivegna Lumino, a native of Tickfaw, resident of Hammond, passed away Thursday, July 3, 2025, at her home. Nora was born on April 2, 1930, she was 95 years of age.

Nora is survived by her daughter, Grace Lumino Baham; brother, Carlo Bentivegna; daughters-in-law, Cathy Lumino and Rose (Peannie) Weber; two grandchildren, Henry Lumino Jr. and Cindy Lumino Lemoine; five great-grandchildren, Amanda Lumino Ragan and husband Trevor Ragan, Jessica Lemoine, Ashley Lemoine, Ryan Lemoine, and Kaylan Lambert and husband Christopher Lambert; ten great-great-grandchildren, Jackson, Dakota, Laikyn, Colt, Brookelynn, Connor, Olivia, Remington, Lilyanna, and Charlotte.

Preceeded in death by her husband, Joe Lumino; two sons, Henry Lumino Sr. and Luke Lumino; parents, Luke and Lena Bentivegna; two brothers, Pete and Santo Bentivegna; and one son-in-law, Delmas Baham.

Nora grew up on a farm and continued farming throughout her married life. She was a very hard worker, loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She loved the Lord and enjoyed spending time with her family. She also enjoyed cooking and was known for her delicious spaghetti gravy. She loved going to the casino as a pastime. She was loved by her family and friends and will be greatly missed.

Pallbearers are Henry Lumino Jr., Trevor Ragan, Bucky Bentivegna, Ross Lumino, Ryan Lemoine, and Brian Shirey.

Viewing will be held at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home in Hammond, 2000 N Morrison Blvd, on Tuesday, July 8, 2025, from 11:00 am until the funeral service begins at 1:00 pm with Father Charlie Johnson officiating.

Burial will be at Rose Memorial Park Cemetery Mausoleum in Hammond, Louisiana.
