Ninfa Eva Nicolosi Wood Winterstein

Ninfa Eva Nicolosi Wood Winterstein, of Hammond, Louisiana, passed away at Landmark Nursing Center of Hammond on Monday, February 14, 2022, at the age of 96. She was born on June 25, 1925, in Hammond, Louisiana, the daughter of the late Salvatore Nicolosi and Angelina Tortorice Nicolosi. Ninfa was a member of Holy Ghost Catholic Church and the VFW Women's Auxiliary.

Ninfa is survived by her numerous nieces and nephews and their families.

In addition to her parents, Ninfa was preceded in death by her first husband, Riley E. Wood; second husband, Wesley "Pete" Winterstein; brothers, Charlie, Nat, Peter and Tony Nicolosi; and sisters, Mary Coludrovich, Josephine Monistere, Frances Pilet, Pauline "Leto" Moreau, and Katherine Vindigni.

The family would like to sincerely thank the caring staff of Landmark Nursing Center of Hammond.

Family and friends will be received at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, 2000 N. Morrison Blvd, Hammond, Louisiana 70401 on Wednesday, February 16, 2022 from 9:00 am until 10:45 am.

A Funeral Mass will be held at Holy Ghost Catholic Church, 600 North Oak Street, Hammond, Louisiana 70401 on Wednesday at 11:00 am.

Entombment will follow at Rose Memorial Park Cemetery in Hammond, Louisiana.
