Nelson "Pete" E. Faust

Nelson "Pete" Eugene Faust, age 74, of Loranger, Louisiana, passed away on Thursday, October 22, 2020 at North Oaks Medical Center in Hammond. He was born on Tuesday, February 19, 1946, in Independence, Louisiana, to Clarence Faust and Lela Baham Faust. Pete loved the Lord. He enjoyed life and loved sitting on the patio with his wife Judy listening to music, gardening, feeding the birds, and spending time with his grandkids, family, and friends. He took special pride in his work at Cal-Maine foods and the great people he worked with there.

Pete is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Judy Anthony Faust, his daughters, Julie Faust Martinson and her husband David and Nelda Faust Frere and her husband Casey, his grandchildren, Merri Lauren Vaccaro, Will Stanberry, Wesley Stanberry, Raelyn Martinson, Macey Martinson and Maegan Martinson McIntyre and her husband Jason, his great grandchildren, Mayson Vaccaro, Morghan Vaccaro, Kinzleigh McIntyre, Lincoln McIntyre and Emmitt McIntyre, his brothers, C.B. "Bossy" Faust and his wife Joyce, Roger Faust and his wife Paula, Edward Faust, John Faust and his wife Judy, Steve Faust and his wife Debbie, and his sister, Marleen Lerch and recently deceased husband Harry, as well as many cousins, nieces, nephews and close friends.

Pete was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence Faust and Lela Baham Faust, his grandson, Trent Perrin, his brothers, James Faust, Ernest Faust, and Marion "Shirt Tail" Faust, and his sisters, Sandra Faust, and Myrtis Carrier.

A Visitation for Pete will be held on Monday, October 26, 2020 from 10:00 am until 1:00 pm at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home in Hammond. A Funeral Service Celebrating Pete's Life will immediately follow visitation at 1:00 pm in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow at Lanier Cemetery in Loranger. Services by Rev. Adam Moore of the Loranger United Methodist Church and Rev. James Moore.
