Neal Raymond Sarow

Neal Raymond Sarow, resident of Ponchatoula, Louisiana, passed away at his home surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, February 13, 2022, at the age of 79. He was born on September 28, 1942, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, the son of the late John Harlin Sarow and Mae Victoria Disher Sarow. Neal was a proud veteran of the U.S. Navy and served in the Vietnam War. He was a long time member of Holy Ghost Catholic Church and a former Masonic lodge member in Milwaukee. Neal regularly met friends for coffee at Lee's and he and his wife Deanna often played with a Canasta group. Neal loved his family above everything and he will be missed dearly.

Neal is survived by his wife of 17 years, Deanna Monteleone Broddick Sarow; children, Christine Garofalo, Noelle Sarow, Kevin Sarow (Tanya), Maria Broddick Richardson, and Bryan Broddick (Nicki); grandchildren, Michael, Megan, Michael, Kevin Jr., Carston, Kaia, Olivia, Kagan, Calise, Colton, Taylor, and Haley; great grandson, Oliver; brother, Gary Sarow (Donna); as well as 3 nephews and 2 nieces.

In addition to his parents, Neal was preceded in death by his brother, Glen Sarow.

The family would like to sincerely thank the staff of Modern Hospice for their compassionate care.

Family and friends will be received at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, 2000 N. Morrison Blvd, Hammond, Louisiana 70401 on Friday, February 18, 2022 from 8:30 am until 10:30 am.

A Funeral Mass will be held at Holy Ghost Catholic Church, 600 North Oak Street, Hammond, Louisiana 70401 on Friday at 11:00 am, with Fr. Cayet Mangiaracina officiating.

Interment will follow at Rose Memorial Park Cemetery in Hammond, Louisiana.
