Nancy Sessions Hutchinson

Nancy Sessions Hutchinson passed away on Friday, October 18, 2024, in Independence, Louisiana, at the age of 63. She was born on Saturday, August 12, 1961 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana to the late Margaret Devall Sessions and the late Jerry Sessions. She was a resident of Independence, Louisiana. Nancy enjoyed teaching for 30 years with the Albany schools and continued to invest in her family and friends long after retirement. She was a faithful member of Bethlehem Baptist Church and loved going on Missions Trips, especially to the Navajo Indian Reservation in New Mexico, as well as working with various disaster relief ministries. Above all, Nancy loved Jesus.

Nancy is survived by her husband, Gilbert Hutchinson; children, Seth Hutchinson and his wife, Cyndal, and Linsey Hutchinson Kimble and her husband, Garrett; grandchildren, Gauge Hutchinson, Remie Hutchinson, Hudson Kimble, and Avery Kimble; and siblings, Randy Sessions, Chuck Sessions, and Donna Pourciau(Bruce).

She was preceded in death by her parents Jerry and Margaret Sessions; brother, Mike Sessions; and father-in-law and mother-in-law, Wilbert and Aline Hutchinson.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home in Hammond, 2000 N. Morrison Boulevard, Hammond, Louisiana 70401, on Tuesday, October 22, 2024, beginning at 9:00 AM until the funeral service begins at 11:00 AM. 

Interment will follow in Bankston Cemetery 4th Ward, Independence, Louisiana.
