Nancy Davis Oakley

Nancy Davis Oakley passed away on Friday, June 7, 2019, in Independence, Louisiana, at the age of 82. She was born on Sunday, March 14, 1937, in Ware Shoals, South Carolina to the late Nettie Mae O'Dell Davis and the late Jefferson Davis. She was a resident of Independence, Louisiana.

Nancy is survived by her husband of 64 years, William E. Oakley; sons & daughter-in-laws, William and Karen Oakley and Jeff and Suzanne Oakley; daughter & son-in-law, Sharon and Clark Chandler; 11 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.

She was preceded in death by her father, Jefferson Davis; mother, Nettie Mae O'Dell Davis; sister, Martha Lynn Davis Cox; and granddaughter, Chelsea Oakley.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Memorial Service at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 707 W. Dakota St., Hammond, LA 70401, on Wednesday, June 12, 2019 at 6:00 pm.
