Myrtle M. Marine

Myrtle McKinney Arnold Marine, of Hammond, Louisiana, passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday, September 2, 2021, at the age of 89. She was born on January 28, 1932, in Killian, Louisiana, the daughter of the late Mart McKinney and Odelia Picou McKinney. Myrtle loved cooking for family gatherings and loved spoiling her grandchildren. She loved plants, flowers, gardening, and raising strawberries. Myrtle's yard had to be perfect and she cut her own grass on her John Deer. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend to all who knew her. She never met a stranger and will be deeply missed.

Myrtle is survived by her daughter, Rita Pellichino and husband Jr.; son, Michael Arnold and wife Amie; and grandchildren, Brandon Pellichino, Erika McGarvey, Caleb McGarvey, Mallory Arnold, and Megan Arnold.

In addition to her parents, Myrtle was preceded in death by her first husband, Barney James Arnold; second husband, Lloyd Marine; son, Barney James Arnold, Jr.; daughter, Wanda Arnold McGarvey; granddaughter, Michelle Lynn Pellichino; brother, Mart "Bud" McKinney; and sister, Florence McKinney Cummings.

Family and friends will be received at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, 2000 N. Morrison Blvd, Hammond, Louisiana 70401 on Saturday, September 11, 2021 from 10:00 am until 1:00 pm. A Funeral Service will begin 1:00 pm with Rev. Leon Dunn officiating.

Interment will follow at Arnold Family Cemetery in Hammond, Louisiana.
