Myrtle E. Lewis Sharp

Myrtle E. Lewis Sharp passed away on Saturday, October 29, 2016, in Hammond, at the age of 87.  She was born on Saturday, March 16, 1929, in Maurepas, to the late Lucille Brown Lewis and the late Octave Lewis.  She was a resident of Springfield.

Myrtle is survived by her husband, James H. Sharp, Jr., three sons & daughters-in-law, Jimmie and Mary Sharp, Ronnie and Margie Sharp, and Wayne and Virginia Sharp, six grandchildren, Jimmie Ray Sharp, Stacey Sharp, Ronnie Sharp (Tricia), Jesse Sharp (Kerra), Aaron Sharp (Paige), Dean Sharp (Mandy), 13 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her father, Octave Lewis; mother, Lucille Brown Lewis; and two brothers, Calvin Lewis and Jesse Lewis.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Service at the Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home Chapel in Ponchatoula, on Wednesday, November 2, 2016, at 12:00 pm.  Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, from 9:00 am until service time.

Interment will follow in Davidson Cemetery in Killian.
