Myra Anne Young

Myra Anne Young, of Ponchatoula, Louisiana, passed away on Wednesday, April 8, 2026, at the age of 68. She was born on July 8, 1957, in Hammond, Louisiana, the daughter of the late Edwin Young and Texie Prine Young. Myra had a heart as big as the world.

Myra is survived by her son, Joshua Young; granddaughter, Haleigh Morgan Young; sister, Donna Young Yent and husband Allen; nieces and nephews, Dalton Yent, Brice Yent, Jennifer Norton, Jessie Chatelain, Carle Young, Brooke Beard, Amber Young; and numerous great nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Myra was preceded in death by her brothers, Michael Young and Ronnie Young.

Family and friends will be received at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, 100 W. Magnolia St., Ponchatoula, Louisiana 70454 on Saturday, April 18, 2026 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm. A Memorial Service will be held at 7:00 pm.
