Myra Elise Riggio Deliberto peacefully passed away surrounded by family on Thursday, August 7, 2025, in Hammond, Louisiana, at the age of 75. She was born on Wednesday, September 3, 1949, in Independence, Louisiana, to the late Myra Forstall Schwartz and Pete Anthony Riggio. She was a resident of Hammond, Louisiana.
Myra loved her family deeply and always enjoyed spending time with them. She worked for many years as a certified nursing assistant caring for others with compassion and kindness. In her free time, she enjoyed being outdoors, gardening, and was an avid collector of Coca-Cola memorabilia. Myra loved watching football and was a big fan of the LSU Tigers and the New Orleans Saints. Cheering for her teams brought her a lot of joy.
Myra is survived by her daughter, Vency Achord (Timmy); sons, Todd David (Jennifer), Charles Deliberto, Jr. (Tasha), Vince Deliberto (Toni), and Mikhael Deliberto (Jaime); cousin, Mary Ann Schillage Jones; nephews, Bobby Riggio and Brandon Riggio; grandchildren, Noah, Allison, Jacob, Justin, Aaron, Dereck, Brooke, Devin, Caleb, Bailey, and Abbie; and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Deliberto. Sr.; parents, Myra Forstall Schwartz and Pete Anthony Riggio; daughter, Vicci Johnston; son, Joey Deliberto; brothers, Felix “Pete” Riggio and Bobby Riggio, Sr.
Visitation will be held on Monday, August 11, 2025, at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home - Hammond, 2000 N. Morrison Blvd., Hammond, LA 70401, from 9:00 am until the funeral service begins at 10:30 am. Officiating the service will be Pastor Mike Mathews.
Internment will follow at Rose Memorial Park Cemetery in Hammond, Louisiana.
Pallbearers will be Todd David, Charles Deliberto, Jr., Vince Deliberto, Mikhael Deliberto, Bobby Riggio, Jr., and Brandon Riggio.
To honor Myra’s love for LSU football, we’d encourage everyone to wear purple and gold to the funeral as a little way to celebrate what she loved.
