Mr. Robert Adam Bardwell Sr.

Mr. Robert Adam Bardwell Sr., 96 years old of Ponchatoula, Louisiana, passed away  Thursday, August 16, 2018, at his residence.

He was born on Sunday, December 18, 1921, in Ponchatoula, son of the late Emmett and Ella Frey Bardwell.

Surviving are his wife of nearly 70 years, Erma Joiner Bardwell, son, J. R. Bardwell, son & daughter-in-law, Ronnie "Hoot" and Rae C. Bardwell, son-in-law, John Dickens,  8 grandchildren, Jennifer Saing, Johnny Dickens, Jessica Bardwell, Jodi Salzman, Janssen Bardwell,  Justin Bardwell, Jeffrey Dickens, and Jordan Dickens; 13 great-grandchildren, Chaule', Gabby, Jinnia, Mychael, Peyton, Channi, Brant, Ashton, Nolan, Morley, Charli, Lucy, and Jossia, sisters, Norma Roby and Sylvia Roby.

He is preceded in death by his son, Johnny Ralph Bardwell, daughter, Myrtle Bardwell Dickens, and 6 sisters.

Friends will be received on Monday, August 20, 2018 from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm and on Tuesday, August 21, 2018 from 9:00 am until 11:00 am at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home in Ponchatoula.

Services will be held in the funeral home chapel on Tuesday at 11:00 am, with John and Frank Dickens officiating.

Interment will follow in the Cooper Cemetery,  Robert, Louisiana.
