Mr. Hubert Thomas Waguespack, Sr., 86 years old of Hammond, Louisiana, passed away on Friday, October 27, 2017, at Landmark Nursing Center.
He was born on Friday, July 31, 1931, in Burnside, Louisiana, son of the late Emile and Matilda Schexnaydre Waguespack.
Mr. Waguespack was a veteran of the United States Air Force.
He was a volunteer at Landmark Nursing Home for many years, where he was loved by all the staff and residents.
Surviving are his daughters & sons-in-law, Mary W. and Horace DeGruy, Drusilla W. and Larry Sumrall, son, Hubert T. Waguespack, Jr., son & daughter-in-law, Michael and Carolyn Waguespack; sisters, Virgie Navo, Madeline Melancon, and brother, E. M. Waguespack. Also survived by 9 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Audrey LeBlanc Waguespack; daughter, Deanna W. Perilloux; granddaughter, Dejean Perilloux; sisters, Laura Boudreaux, Ruth Dornier, Marguerite Pekich, Althea Dupuy, and Inez Hinchman; and brothers, Daniel, Melvin, Ronald, and Leroy Waguespack.
Friends will be received on Monday, October 30, 2017 from 11:00 am until 2:00 pm in the chapel of Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, 100 W. Magnolia St., Ponchatoula, Louisiana 70454.
Services will be held in the funeral home chapel, on Monday, at 2:00 pm, with Deacon Larry Melancon officiating.
Interment will follow in the Sand Hill Cemetery, Ponchatoula, Louisiana.
