Millie was a beloved mother, mother in law, grandma, and great grandma. Â She loved spending time with all of us throughout the years until the day she left this earth.
For the most part she was a homemaker. Â She loved cooking for the family. Â She was a fabulous cook with everything she prepared. Â Her hits with all the family were chicken and dumplings and cornbread and chicken dressing.
Millie gave her dedication to Pete (2nd husband). Â She was always there for him as they battled his terminal illness. Â She was there for his every need until he passed away in 2005. She stayed a widow for her remaining years.
She maintained her yard and home to perfection. Â She finally had to give it up due to her noticeable signs of dementia. The end result of all our efforts was to move her to Heritage Manor in Mandeville. Â
As she became more comfortable with her surroundings on the memory unit, she befriended the ladies and men that worked with her. Â She had excellent care from all the staff; past and present! Â I am eternally grateful for all the employees that provided her with friendship, care, and love at this facility. Yâall made her comfortable until she was called to her eternal home!
I would like to also recognize St. Catherine Hospice. Â They were a wonderful group of loving people. Â
Mom, you will never be forgotten by any of your family. Â Until we meet again my angel - love from your one and only! Â Me!
