Michael “Mike” Wesley Magee passed away on Saturday, March 29, 2025, in Hammond, Louisiana, at 55. He was born on Tuesday, June 3, 1969, to Janell and Oliver Magee. Mike was raised in Washington Parish, Louisiana, and attended Southeastern Louisiana University, where he earned a degree in biology. Mike was a long-time resident of Hammond, where he met many friends and his wife, Jamie. Mike loved fishing, reading, and spending time with his family and pets (especially Julio). He was known for his storytelling and jovial personality, leaving a smile on most faces. Mike proudly served in the United States Navy during Operation Desert Storm and Operation Desert Shield.

Mike is survived by his wife, Jamie Baker Magee, his two daughters, Olivia and Gracie Magee, his son, Luke Ard (Albert Dickerson), his siblings, Theresa Magee King (Bennie King) and Scott Magee; his nephews and nieces; cousins, and in-laws.

Mike was preceded in death by his youngest daughter, Lucie Evangeline Magee, his eldest brother, Eric Magee, and his aforementioned parents.

Relatives and friends will be invited to attend a “Celebration of Life” at a later date.
