It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Michael Joseph Kilbride, Sr., lovingly known as “Mike.” Mike passed away peacefully at his home in Hammond, Louisiana on March 25, 2024. Mike embodied the spirit of service and spent 29 honorable years serving as a Policeman of the New Orleans Police Department. He then went on work security for Freeport-McMoRan until his retirement.
Mike is survived by RoseMarie T. Kilbride; son, Michael J. Kilbride, Jr. (Jill); son, Thomas P. Kilbride (Bridget); and daughter, Kristen K. Hebert (Jimmy); grandchildren, Brittany Cortezie, Hunter Kilbride, Tristen Bankston (Corey), Samantha Brumfield (Bradley), Morgan Hebert, Katelyn Kilbride, Taylor Hebert, Gabrielle Kilbride, Samuel Kilbride, and John Robert Hebert; sister, Constance Dixon; and brother, Earl Kilbride. He is also survived by many great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mike is reunited in eternity with his son, Sean C. Kilbride and his parents, Sebastian and Marion Kilbride.
Family and friends are invited to attend Mass honoring Mike’s life at Holy Ghost Catholic Church, 600 N. Oak St, Hammond, Louisiana 70401 on Monday, April 1, 2024. Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. with Mass beginning at 11:00 a.m. and a funeral procession to Rose Memorial Park Cemetery immediately afterward.
