Michael John Massi

Michael John Massi  passed away on Thursday, May 11, 2017 in Alexandria, Louisiana, at the age of 78.  He was born on Friday, June 17, 1938 in Union, Louisiana to the late Jennie Gimalva Massi and Gasper Massi.  Michael was a resident of Independence, Louisiana. He retired from Dupont after 25 years.

Michael is survived by his son, Anthony and wife Patti Massi, son, Christopher and wife Monique Massi, and daughter, Veronica Massi; grandchildren, Michael Pruett, Brian Pruett, Jonathon Massi, Jacob Massi, and James Babb; 6 great-grandchildren, Izabella, Simon, Laiten, and Kandon Pruett, and Ivy and Isaac Massi; and sister, Josephine Alfred.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Gloria Mary Hebert Massi; parents, Gasper and Jennie Gimalva Massi; brother, Nathaniel Massi; and sister, Anna Laiche.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Pompeii Catholic Church, 14450 Hwy 442, Tickfaw, LA 70466, on Tuesday, May 16 2017 at 10:30 am.  Visitation will be held at the church from 9:30 am until service time.

Interment will follow in Tickfaw Catholic Cemetery, Tickfaw, LA.
