Michael D. Locicero

Michael D. LoCicero, age 60, of Hammond, Louisiana, passed away suddenly on Sunday, January 24, 2021 at his weekend home in Folsom. He was born on Tuesday, January 24, 1961, in Hammond, Louisiana, to Andrew “Andy” LoCicero and Inez Addison LoCicero. Michael enjoyed life and loved building things, doing projects around the house, watching football, and antiquing, but he especially loved spending time with his family and working on the farm.

There are not enough great words to describe Michael. He was an all-star high school quarterback. He was a respected businessman, entrepreneur, and real estate developer. He was a forester and owner of Southerland Company, inc. As the president of Southeast Reality Group, he was responsible for bringing several large companies to the Hammond area, including Tractor Supply and Intralox. He was a friend to all, the type of person who never met a stranger and would give you the shirt off his back. If you ever needed anything done, Michael always had the right person for the job.  Above all else, he was a family man. A loving husband, father, son, brother, grandfather, and so much more. He truly was the rock for his family and will be greatly missed.

Michael is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Lisa Husser LoCicero, his son, Logan LoCicero and his wife Kaitlynn, his daughter, Kelsea McLeod and her husband Randy, his grandchildren, Addison LoCicero and one on the way Kinsley Laine McLeod, his brother, Brian LoCicero and his wife Heidi, and his sister-in-law, Sharon LoCicero, also many nieces, nephews, and close friends.

Michael was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew “Andy” LoCicero and Inez Addison LoCicero, and his brother, Ricky LoCicero.

A Visitation for Michael will be held on Thursday, January 28, 2021 from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm and continue Friday, January 29, 2021 from 11:00 am until 12:00 pm at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home in Hammond. A Funeral Service Celebrating Michael's Life will immediately follow Friday’s visitation at 12:00 pm in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow at Bruhl Cemetery in Folsom, Louisiana.

Face masks are mandatory to attend any visitation or service at the funeral home and the church and we ask that you maintain a respectful distance with the family. Thank you for your cooperation.
