Melvina Augusta Doss

Melvina Augusta Doss, of Hammond, Louisiana, passed away at St. Tammany Parish Hospital on Saturday, September 16, 2023, at the age of 74. She was born on Monday, May 23, 1949, in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Melvina is survived by her daughters, Julie Pinion (Daryl Pinion), Michelle Porrier, And Angel Doss (Alfredo Izaguirre), also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley  Doss; parents, Joseph Smith and  Dorris Gaude Smith; her mother who raised her Sadie Green; sister, Rosa Smith and half-brother, Robert Drude.

A celebration of Melvina's life will be held on Saturday, Sept. 23, at 24497, Jones Road in Springfield, from 11:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.
