Melissa Ann Fontenot

Melissa Ann Fontenot, age 40, of Springfield, Louisiana, passed away on Friday, October 2, 2020, at her home in Springfield. She was born on Saturday, October 6, 1979, in Independence, Louisiana, to Robert Fontenot and Aline Threeton Fontenot. Melissa enjoyed life and loved her brother Troy, driving around and listening to music, hanging with her friends, spending time with her nieces, nephews and her family.

Melissa is survived by her daughter, Alexis J. Walker, her son, Michael "Mikey" Guidroz, her brothers, Ronnie Granger, Troy Granger (Melissa Atwood) and Joey (Carol) Granger, also, many cousins, nieces, nephews and close friends.

Melissa was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Fontenot and Aline Threeton Fontenot, her brother, Ricky Granger, and her sister in law, Loretta "Diane" Granger.

A Visitation for Melissa will be held on Monday, October 12, 2020 from 5:00 pm until 9:00pm and continue on Tuesday, October 13, 2020 from 8:00 am until 10:00 am at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home in Ponchatoula. A Funeral Service Celebrating Melissa's Life will immediately follow visitation on Tuesday at 10:00 am in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow at Springfield Cemetery in Springfield.

Face masks are now mandatory to attend any visitation or service at the funeral home. Thank you for your cooperation.
