Edward Matthew Kinchen Sr.

Edward Matthew Kinchen Sr., of Albany, Louisiana, passed away on Wednesday, April 24, 2024, at the age of 92. He was born on Saturday, July 4, 1931, in Albany, Louisiana.

Edward was survived by his son Edward "Matt" Kinchen, and his wife Brenda Kinchen, his son Calvin Shaffer, and his wife Nina Shaffer. He is also survived by many grand and great-grandchildren.

Edward is preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Nelda Faye Stewart Kinchen, his parents: Edward Kinchen and Mary Stewart Kinchen; his daughter, Lisa Kinchen Lacy, son, Mark Kinchen, daughter, Barbara Schaffer Wallace and daughter, Rhonda Schaffer McKinney.

Family and friends will be received at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home - Hammond, 2000 N. Morrison Blvd, Hammond, Louisiana 70401 on Saturday, April 27, 2024, from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm. Visitation will continue at the Funeral Home Chapel on Sunday, April 28, 2024, from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm.

A Funeral Service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Sunday at 1:00 pm.

Interment will follow at Kinchen Cemetery in Albany, Louisiana.
