Matthew Caine Cooper

Matthew Caine Cooper passed away on Saturday, February 17, 2024, in Jackson, Louisiana, at the age of 42.  He was born on Thursday, November 19, 1981 in Hammond , Louisiana to Margaret Gulotta LeBlanc and the late Gerald Cooper. He was a resident of Independence, Louisiana.

Matthew is survived by his children, Des Cooper (Piper), Alexis Cooper Burton (Darrah) and Mattisyn Cooper; parents, Margaret Gulotta LeBlanc and Robert David LeBlanc; step-brothers, Steven and John LeBlanc, as well numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father, Gerald Cooper; brother, Sam "Buster" Cooper; and grandparents, Idee and Sam Gulotta and Morris and Nathalie Cooper.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, 2000 N. Morrison Blvd, Hammond, Louisiana 70401, on Saturday, February 24, 2024 from 12:00pm until services begin at 2:00 pm 

Interment will follow in Colonial Cemetery, Independence, Louisiana.
