Mary Virginia Easley Wilson

Mary Virginia Easley Wilson, of Kentwood, Louisiana, passed away at her home on Friday, December 29, 2023, at the age of 77. She was born on July 14, 1946, in Amite, Louisiana, the daughter of the late Jeff Easley and Mary Virginia Ward Easley. Virginia was a loving, Christian woman with a servant's heart. She was proud of her work as a counselor and community outreach coordinator helping victims of domestic violence and also enjoyed her many years at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home assisting families. In her free time, Virginia loved antiquing, selling items online, and being with her family. Family was very important to her and she especially loved her grandbabies. Virginia will be missed dearly by her family and many friends.

Virginia is survived by her daughter, Tammy Burnette Wheat (Edward); son, Jeff Burnette; grandchildren, Elizabeth DeLaSalle Vining (Daniel), and Austin M. Burnette (Lauren Brooks); great grandchildren, Alexis Brenna Vining, Beau Michael Vining, Bristol Raine Vining, and Devereaux DeLéon Burnette; and brother, Lee Thames (Lori).

In addition to her parents, Virginia was preceded in death by her husband, Michael Don "Mike" Wilson.

Family and friends will be received at Pine Ridge Methodist Church, 3893 Hwy. 440, Kentwood, Louisiana 70444 on Friday, January 5, 2024 from 9:00 am until the Funeral Service begins at 11:00 am. 

Interment will follow at Pine Ridge Cemetery in Kentwood, Louisiana.
