Mary Louise Kiernan Thompson

Mary Louise (Mary Lou) Kiernan Thompson, age 78, was born in Jefferson, Louisiana on February 20, 1946.  She went to be with the Lord on February 18, 2024.  

She is preceded in death by her parents, Bernard Lacoste Kiernan Jr. and Sofia (Sally) Moss Kiernan, as well as her brother Robert (Sonny) Moss and sister Beverly Moss Fischer. 

She is survived by her siblings Francis (Butch) Kiernan and wife JoAnn, James (Jimmy) Kiernan, her daughter, Sophia (Becky) Thompson Gaudet and son in law Jason Gaudet with her prized grandchild Jase (Bug) with many nieces, nephews and cousins. 

A resident of Jefferson (New Orleans), Louisiana, she moved to Tangipahoa Parish and settled in Hammond.  Mary Lou died peacefully after a brief illness, with her daughter at her side. There will be no services at this time. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
