Mary Margie Blanchard Madere

Mary Margie Blanchard Madere passed away on Sunday, November 28, 2021, at home, at the age of 77. She was born on Friday December 3, 1943 in Eunice, Louisiana to Ambrose and Jeanne Blanchard.  She was a resident of Ponchatoula, Louisiana. Mary worked at the match factory until she accomplished her goal of becoming a nurse, at the age of 50. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, embroidery and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Mary is survived by her husband Lawrence J. Madere, daughter, Lynn Langley, son, William Shane Newton and wife Vicky, grandchildren, Brad William Langley, Amber Langley, Brittany Crum and husband Clent, William Garrett Newton, and her great-grandchildren, Aubree, Demi, Cheyenne, and Greyson.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ambrose and Jeanne Blanchard; sisters, Loretta and Brenda; as well as her stepfather, Joseph Doguet.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Memorial Service at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home - Ponchatoula , 100 W. Magnolia St., Ponchatoula, Louisiana 70454, on Friday, December 3, 2021 at 11:00 am.  Visitation will be held on Friday, December 3, 2021, 9:00 am - 11:00 am.
