Mary M. Crosby

Mary M. Crosby, 83 years old of Independence, Louisiana, passed away on Monday, October 3, 2016, in Hammond. She was born on Saturday, October 8, 1932, in Independence, Louisiana to Vic and Mandy Montalbano. Mary was a very faithful and devoted Roman Catholic. She enjoyed life and loved cooking, feeding family and friends, having all family and holiday events at her house, but especially loved spending time with her family.

Mary is survived by her son, Gary Crosby and his wife Terri, her daughter, Cynthia Givens, her grandchildren, Jaime LeBlanc, Cassie Ridgel, Brandy Miller, Kristina Givens, Trent Anthony, Kaylee Crosby. Trish DeMarche, Tammy Baker and Traci Giovingo, 14 great granchildren, her sisters, Pauline Jorlando, Congetta Sanford and Jenny Ross, also many nieces, nephews and close friends.

Mary is preceded in death by her parents, Vic and Mandy Montalbano, her husband, Billy Levi Crosby, her granddaughter, Mandy Crosby, her great granddaughter, Lydia Miller, her brothers, Nick and Gasper Montalbano and her sister Virginia Giacone.

A Visitation for Mary will be held on Thursday, October 6, 2016 from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home in Hammond and continue on Friday, October 7, 2016 from 10:00am - 11:00am at Mater Dolorosa Catholic Church in Independence. A Funeral Mass Celebrating Mary's Life will immediately follow visitation at11:00am in the church. Entombment will follow in the Colonial Cemetery Mausoleum in Independence.
