Mary Louise Gipson

Mary Louise Gipson passed away from this life on Tuesday, October 3, 2017 in Holden, Louisiana at the age of 97. She was born on January 15, 1920 in Wilmington, Delaware.

Mary was very close to her Christian family, especially those she worshipped with at Westchurch Church of Christ in Hammond, Louisiana. Mary enjoyed painting, loved singing, and most of all, adored her loving family. She will be greatly missed by all those who knew her and loved her. She had a sweet spirit and gentle soul.

Mary is survived by her three children, Ruth Gipson Wallace, Betsy Gipson Canfield, and Bill Gipson. Also surviving are a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren, as well as a large number of nieces and nephews.

Mary was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, James W. (Bill) Gipson; her father and mother, George and Ruth Leona Hoxworth Zimmerman; and her sister, Rebecca Elizabeth Moore.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Graveside Service at 11:00 am, Thursday, October 5, 2017 at Johnson Grove Church of Christ Cemetery, 665 Auburn Dr. SW,  Bogue Chitto, Mississippi 39629.
