Mary Margaret Sistrunk Joiner

Mary Margaret Sistrunk Joiner passed away Sunday, June 4, 2023, in Hammond, Louisiana, at the age of 93.  She was born on Sunday, June 9, 1929, in Tickfaw, Louisiana to the late Bessie Benton Sistrunk and Melvin Sistrunk.  She was a resident of Hammond, Louisiana.

Margaret is survived by her daughter, Belinda Joiner; sons,  Ed Joiner and Jerry A. Joiner; and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Margaret is preceded in death by her husband, Donald Joiner; daughter, Donna Lynn Joiner; son, Gary Lee Joiner, Sr.; grandson, Gary Lee Joiner, Jr.; sister, Shirley Mae Oller Harper; and brother, Viron Lee Sistrunk.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Harry McKneely & Son, 2000 N. Morrison Boulevard, Hammond, Tuesday, June 6, 2023, from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm and Wednesday, June 7, 2023, from 9:00 am until funeral services at 11:00 am.  

Interment will follow in Johnson Cemetery, Tickfaw, Louisiana.
