Mary James Sanchez

Mary James Sanchez, 73 years old of Tickfaw, Louisiana, passed away Tuesday, December 25, 2018, in Covington, Louisiana.

She was born on Tuesday, October 23, 1945, in Thomasville, Alabama. Mary was a resident of Tickfaw, Louisiana.

Mary is survived by her husband of 53 years, Gerrit James Sanchez Sr.; sons, Gerrit James Sanchez, Jr. and Mark Sanchez and his wife Melissa; grandchildren, Hannah and Bayli Sanchez, and Stephen Sanchez; sister, Patsy Neidhardt; and brother, Joe Harvell.

She is preceded in death by her parents, James and Margaret Harvell; sister, Linda Simmons; and brother, Marshall Harvell.

Visitation for family and friends will be Friday, December 28, 2018 from 9:00 am until the Funeral Service starts at 11:30 am, at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, 2000 N. Morrison Blvd., Hammond, Louisiana 70401.

Interment will follow in the Westlawn Cemetery, 1225 Whitney Ave., Gretna, Louisiana, 70056.
