Mary Dagro passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, November 29, 2025, in Loranger, Louisiana, at the age of 103. She was born on Sunday, September 3, 1922, in Independence, Louisiana, to the late Carlo Dagro and Philippina Lascaro Dagro. She was a resident of Loranger, Louisiana.
Mary is survived by her nieces and nephews, Carla Deckelmann (Joe), Phyllis Trocquet (Miles), Carlo John Dagro, Joseph Nick Dagro, Jr. (Melissa), and Anna Dagro Bottolfs (Sam); as well as other great-nieces and nephews; and sister-in-law, Johanna Albano Dagro.
In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her siblings, Henry Dagro (Shirley) and Joseph Nick "Joe" Dagro, Sr.
After a long career as an Executive Secretary in the Federal Land Bank, Mary worked for a CPA Firm until her retirement. Mary was passionate about cooking and tending her many plants and flowers.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, 2000 N. Morrison Blvd, Hammond, Louisiana 70401, on Saturday, December 6, 2025, at 9:00 am until services begin at 11:00 am.
Interment will follow in Colonial Cemetery Mausoleum, Independence, Louisiana.
