Mary Conjetta Laiche Cashio

Mary Conjetta Laiche Cashio passed away on Sunday, May 21, 2023, in Hammond, Louisiana, at the age of 85. She was born on Saturday, October 30, 1937, in Hammond, Louisiana to the late Mary Macaluso and the late Paul Nicolosi. She was a resident of Hammond, Louisiana.

Mary was an active member of the Catholic Daughters, KC Ladies and Rosary Altar Society. She enjoyed spending time with her friends and playing pokeno and tripoley. She was known for her ability to cook both delicious Italian and Cajun meals for her large family. 
 
Mary is survived by her daughters, Joan Banister (Stephen), Tina Payne (Wilburn), Angela Rogers (Kevin), and Sue Ann Hubbard (Lyle); son, Mark Laiche; grandchildren, Kristopher Payne (Mallory), Kaci Payne, Connor Banister, Nathan Banister, Ashley Rogers (Tanner), Gerald Rogers, Mark Jeffrey Hubbard and Sabra Hubbard; and great-granddaughter, Khloe Mary-Kate Smith.

In addition to her parents, Mary is also preceded in death by her first husband, Gerald J. Laiche.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Holy Ghost Catholic Church, 600 North Oak Street, Hammond, Louisiana 70401, on Thursday, May 25, 2023, beginning at 9:00 AM until the funeral mass begins at 11:00 AM. 

Interment will follow in Parklawn Memorial Gardens, Hammond, Louisiana.
