Mary Ann Russell

Mary Ann Russell  passed away on Wednesday, May 29, 2019, at the age of 78. She was born on Wednesday, September 8, 1940 in Atmore, Alabama to the late Hazel McLean and Hughey Sanspree. She was a resident of Independence, Louisiana.

Mary is survived by her daughters, Ramona Ann Russell, Elizabeth Forrest and husband Brian, and Nancy Morris and husband Calvin; sons, Raymond Russell, Jr. and wife Denise, and Thomas Darwin Russell and wife Edna; grandchildren, Cody Russell, Tony, Dalton, and Corey McElveen, Lacy and Gary Burks, Tommy Darwin, Stephanie, Justin, Rebecca, and Abigail Russell, Brian Forrest Jr. and Brianne Ratcliff and husband Josh, Savannah and Pamela Morris; great-grandchildren, Gary Michael Burks, Sophia Ann Marie Macias, Wyatt Brumfield, and Isabella Grace Ratcliff; and sister, Jennifer Jackson.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Estus Russell Sr.; father, Hughey Sanspree; mother, Hazel McLean Sanspree; brothers, Billy Ray and Eugene Sanspree; son in law, Flemin Russell.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home 100 W. Magnolia St., Ponchatoula, Louisiana 70454, on Saturday, June 1, 2019 at 1:00 pm. Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 1, 2019, from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm.

Interment will follow in Lighthouse Baptist Church Cemetery, Independence, Louisiana.
