Mary Alma Kellam

Mary went to her heavenly home on Sunday, July 17, 2022, at North Oaks Medical Center in Hammond, La.  She was born in New Orleans on July 11, 1942 and spent most of her life in Amite.  Mary enjoyed spending time with her sister, traveling to Tennessee with her family, and playing bingo when she could.  She loved being with her family making lasting memories, but her favorite pastime was aggravating her husband and vice versa, which kept them both busy most of the time. Mary lived a good life and is already deeply missed and will not be forgotten.  

She leaves behind her beloved husband of 30 years, Walter Sam Kellam; children, Mary Rita Pellegalle and husband Kenny, Emmanuel Labit, Rebecca “Becky” Rogers, Wade Labit III and wife Deedy, Ashton Scott Labit; favorite granddaughter, Winter Marie; 13 other grandchildren as well as numerous great and great-great grandchildren.  

Preceding her in death are her former husband, Wade Joseph Labit, Jr.; parents and stepparents; siblings, Pat Rodriguez, Hank Ryall, Johnny Ryall and Julie Radosti.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Celebration of Life Service at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home in Hammond on Friday, July 22, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. with visitation beginning at 11:00 a.m.  Bro. Kenny Pellegalle will officiate the services with burial to follow in Amite Memorial Gardens.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Harry McKneely and Son Funeral Home.
