Marta Rosemarie Dominick

Marta Rosemarie Dominick, 86 years old of Hammond, went peacefully to heaven on August 26, 2022. She was born in Frankfurt, Germany in 1935, to the late Friedrich Johann Barth and Theresia Wehner Barth, and became an American citizen in 1962 after marrying John Dominick, who served in the United States Air Force and preceded her in death. Known as Marta to some and Rose or Rosie to many more, she was passionate about meeting people and making lifelong friends. Rose is survived by her children, Neal Dominick and wife, Liz, and Joseph Dominick and fiancée, Lacy;  three grandchildren, Brianna, Mason, and Madeline; and her sister, Erika, who lives in Sprendlingen, Germany.

Visitation will be at Harry McKneely & Sons on Thursday, September 1, 2022, from 5:00-8:00pm and on Friday, September 2, 2022, from 9:00-10:30am. A funeral mass will be held at Holy Ghost Catholic Church on Friday, September 2 at 11:00am. Interment will be on her birthday, September 28th, at Biloxi National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes all to send their most generous donations to the American Cancer Society in Rose's name.
