Marjorie Anthon Edwards

On November 3, 2022 Marjorie Anthon Edwards, at the age of seventy-five, left us to await the Resurrection.  We hope in that day.

She was a lifetime member of the Blood River Church of God where she led worship and taught many Sunday School classes.  She loved raising her children, and enjoyed watching her grandchildren grow and play.  Her smile was infectious and rarely left her face, even during the hard times.

Marjorie is survived by her son, Jacob and wife Rebecca, her daughter, Jacqueline, five grandchildren, Luke, Lucy Claire, and Miles Edwards, and Carson and Callie Polito, her sisters Lois Wax and Marilyn Montgomery, her brother Ludwig Anthon, and beloved nephews and nieces.

Marjorie was preceded in death by her husband of forty-three years Glenn Edwards, and her parents, Orion and Evelyn Anthon.

Serving as pallbearers will be Monte Montgomery, Bryan Wax, Brandon Wax, Marc Montgomery, Luke Edwards, and Carson Polito. Honorary pallbearers will be Clifton Hill, Jr., Charles Ray Hill, Keith Davis, Travis Davis, and Shayne Bush.

Visitation will be at Harry McKneely & Son in Ponchatoula on Sunday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. and continue on Monday at 9:00 a.m. at Blood River Church of God in Springfield with the service to follow at 11:00 a.m.  Interment will be at Carter Cemetery.
