Marie Costanza Perez

Marie Costanza Perez, of Ponchatoula, Louisiana, passed away on Monday, February 12, 2024, at the age of 92. She was born on Thursday, August 20, 1931, in Hammond, Louisiana.

Marie was a 25 year member of the Eastern Star, Rachel Jackson Chapter No. 241. She was Past Matron several times and also Treasurer for many years. She was a Past District Deputy Grand Matron and held a Grand Chapter Office also. 

Marie is survived by her daughter & son-in-law, Frances “Fran” Perez and Joeray Spencer Jr., son, Armando “Skip” Perez, Jr., step-daughter, Flo Barranco; sister, Theresa DiCarlo, sister and brother-in-law, Anna and Dominic Saltaformaggio; grandchildren, Adam Dardar and his wife Elizabeth, Armando “Kris” Perez and his wife Laney Robein, Gregory Pier and his wife Jennifer; sister-in-law, Aurelie Costanza, also survived by many great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Armando Joseph Perez, Sr.; her parents, Louis Costanza and Frances Giluso Costanza; brother, Joseph Costanza, daughter-in-law, Darlene Perez, brother-in-law, Dominic DiCarlo.

Family and friends will be received at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home - Hammond, 2000 N. Morrison Blvd, Hammond, Louisiana 70401 on Thursday, February 15, 2024 from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm. Visitation will continue at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Ponchatoula on Friday, February 16, 2024 from 9:00 am until 11:00 am.

A Funeral Service will be held at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, on Friday at 11:00 am, with Father Mariano Veliz, officiating.

Interment will follow at Garden Of Memories in Metairie, Louisiana.
