Marie Josephine Schilling

Marie Josephine Schilling passed away on Thursday, December 13, 2018, in Hammond, Louisiana, at the age of 94. She was born on Thursday, May 29, 1924 in Ponchatoula, Louisiana to the late Rosie Yent Ellenberger and the late Jacob Ellenberger. She was a resident of Ponchatoula, Louisiana.

Marie is survived by her children and their spouses, Donnie and Sharon Schilling, Dianne and David Raiford, Vera and Leslie Matthews, Esther and Mike Raiford, Estelle and Warren Babin, Cindy and Randy Meyers; Her brothers and sisters, Jerry Ellenberger, Sonny Ellenberger, Francis Milton and Lidia Dugas; grandchildren and their spouses, Bridget and Brad Perilloux, Russell and Regina Raiford, Chris and Dawn Raiford, Kevin and Karen Raiford, Regina and Rob Burris, Jason and Tiffany Raiford, Jeff and Holly Raiford, Justin and Amy Raiford, Jeromy and Melissa Babin, Lorie Babin and Hank Gureasko, Alecia and Craig Gill, Randall Meyers and his fianceé, Summer Sherman; also survived by 26 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Frederic Leo Schilling, Sr.; mother, Rosie Yent Ellenberger; father, Jacob Ellenberger; son and daughter in law, Freddie and Betty Schilling; great-grandson, Robert Mac Burris; her siblings, Fritzie Ellenberger, Helen Ellenberger, Theresa Rainey and Rudy Kirby

Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 16, 2018, from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm at Harry McKneely and Son Funeral Home 100 W Magnolia St. Ponchatoula, Lousiana 70454. Visitation will resume on Monday, December 17, 2018, from 9:30 am until 11:00 am. followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 255 North 8th Street, Ponchatoula, Louisiana 70454, on Monday, December 17, 2018 at 11:00 am.

Interment will follow in Frederic Leo Schilling Sr. Family Cemetery in Ponchatoula, Louisiana.
