Marie Elise Manuel

Marie Elise Manuel passed away on Friday, January 28, 2022, in Hammond, Louisiana, at the age of 94. She was born on Sunday, March 20, 1927 in Hammond, Louisiana to the late Anita Schmidt Strader and the late David Strader. She was a resident of Hammond, Louisiana.

Marie attended Hammond High School and Southeastern Louisiana University, and graduated from Louisiana State University with a degree in dietetics. She worked for the Ochsner Foundation Hospital for many years, including serving as Director of Dietetics.

Marie is survived by her son, David Manuel (David K. Johnson), of Houston, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Herman Manuel; father, David Strader; and mother, Anita Schmidt.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the graveside service at Greenlawn Cemetery, 1001 Western Avenue, Hammond, Louisiana 70401, on Saturday, February 5, 2022 at 11:00 AM.
