Marianne Wills Evans

Marianne Wills Evans, of Ponchatoula, Louisiana, passed away at her home surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, September 4, 2019, at the age of 78. She was born on July 19, 1941, in Houston, Texas, the daughter of the late Bernard Wills and Lora Ula Goodnight Wills. Marianne was the youngest of 13 children.

Marianne is survived by her daughters, Janie Denise Evans van Berge, Kristii Michelle Evans Normand, and Ashley Angelle Evans; grandchildren, Natasha Anderson, Jessica Brown, Nicole van Berge, Jammie Normand, Ethan Normand, Rocco van Berge Jr., Katherine Jones, Joshua Fryar, and Avrianna "Ava" Fryar; as well as 25 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchlid.

In addition to her parents, Marianne was preceded in death by her husband, James Daniel "Danny" Evans, Jr.; infant son, James Daniel Evans, III; infant daughter, Shauntelle Evans; grandchildren, Wesley Evan (Scivicque) Normand and Shanna Marie Kazakoff; and sons-in-law, Rocco van Berge Sr. and James A. Normand.

Family and friends will be received at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, 100 W. Magnolia St. Ponchatoula, Louisiana 70454, on Saturday, September 7, 2019 from 9:30 am until 10:30 am.

A graveside service will immediately follow the visitation on Saturday at Sand Hill Cemetery in Ponchatoula, Louisiana at 11:00 am.
