Margie Vicknair Marcombe

Margie Vicknair Marcombe, of Folsom, Louisiana, passed away on Monday, July 26, 2021, at the age of 72. She was born on Monday, November 22, 1948, in New Orleans, Louisiana. Margie had a smile that could light up a room. She always made you feel at home and kept her door open to all of her children's friends and anyone that needed a place to stay, a hot meal, or just someone to listen. Margie was a longtime partner at Lakeshore Church in Covington and past president and board member for over 20 years for the Ponchatoula Country Market. Margie's family and friends will miss her spirit of warmth and generosity and all of the wonderful times they spent together.

Margie is survived by her husband, Ernest Charles Marcombe, Sr.; children, Aimee Ann Marcombe (Ricardo), Julie Marcombe Brown (Scott) and Ernest Charles Marcombe, Jr. (Noha); grandchildren, Ashley Lofton, Kastia Lofton Ladner (Brent), Bethany Brown Wicker, Billy Brown, Nicholas Marcombe, Natalie Richardson (Scott), Zoie Marcombe, Zachariah Marcombe, and Elijah Marcombe; great grandchildren, Eli Gaubert, Elena Gaubert, Angelina Ladner, Dolton Ladner, Henley Wicker, and Arya Richardson; sisters, Gail Vicknair Arceneaux (Gene), and Susan Vicknair Dick (Bryan); and 4 nieces.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Vicknair and the late Gladys Gros Vicknair.

Services will be held privately. Family and friends are welcome to watch the livestream of the services on Tuesday, August 10, 2021 at 12:30 pm at http://livestream.com/lakeshorechurch/events/9791882.

Margie will be laid to rest at Pinecrest Memorial Gardens in Covington, Louisiana.
