Margaretta "Hannah" Cook Howard

Margaretta "Hannah" Cook Howard, 77 years old, passed away Wednesday, February 6, 2019, at her home in Ponchatoula, Louisiana.  She was born January 25, 1942, in Charlotte, NC, to the late Robert Louis and Martha Marze Cook.  Hannah worked as a drycleaner, homemaker, pre-school/Sunday school teacher, and museum volunteer throughout various parts of her lifetime.

She is survived by sons, James "Rob" Robert and Jeffrey Todd Howard (Christy); grandchildren, Melanie Jane and James Arthur; many cousins; and numerous siblings, cousins, nieces, and nephews in-law.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, James Edward Howard; and several siblings in-law.

Hannah was a loving mother, grandmother, and devoted wife and friend, who enjoyed interior decorating, landscaping, fishing, cooking, painting, card games and playing piano.  She was one of the most compassionate and caring people you will ever meet.

Family and friends are invited to the Visitation at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home - 2000 N. Morrison Blvd, Hammond, Louisiana 70401, on Friday, February 15, 2019 from 10:00 AM until the Memorial Service begins at 11:00 AM.  Interment will follow in the Rose Memorial Park Cemetery, Hammond.
