Margaret Louise Walters Salisbury

Margaret Louise Walters Salisbury, of Ponchatoula, Louisiana, passed away at her home on Friday, June 23, 2023, at the age of 84. She was born on February 25, 1939, in Streator, Illinois, the daughter of the late Jack Walters and Alice Wilson Walters. Margaret loved flowers, baking, crafts, and had a talent for growing exotic plants. She enjoyed soap operas and country music. Above all, Margaret loved her kids and grandson and she is missed dearly by them.

Margaret is survived by her daughter, Vicki Plewacki of Ponchatoula; son, Harold E. Salisbury and wife JoAnn of Independence; grandson, Christopher Salisbury of Independence; brother, Jack Walters of Streator, Illinois; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Margaret was preceded in death by her husband, Elston C. Salisbury; siblings, Robert Walters, Rose Katanich, Jennie Eccleston, Betty Ingram, and Laura Summers; and son-in-law, Thomas Plewacki.

Family and friends will be received at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, 100 W. Magnolia St., Ponchatoula, Louisiana 70454 on Friday, June 30, 2023 from 9:30 am until 11:30 am. 

A Memorial Service will be held at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home -  Ponchatoula on Friday at 11:30 am, with  Randy Ray officiating.

Interment will follow at Ponchatoula Cemetery in Ponchatoula, Louisiana.
