Margaret Ann Fowler

Mrs. Margaret Ann Cooper Fowler, age 73 of Franklinton, Louisiana passed away on Sunday, June 4, 2023 at 4:27 am.

After working many years as a loan officer, she retired from The Bank of Winnfield in Winnfield, Louisiana.  She spent her life doing the work of the Lord, not only as a minister's wife, but also as a gifted speaker herself.  Her messages were always of love and faithfulness to Christ.  She was a loving mother to three children, who she raised with a firm, yet nurturing hand.  She was a loving and supportive wife.  She was also a loving sister to four sisters and numerous nieces and nephews.  She always enjoyed getting together with her family.

Born August 14, 1949 in Ferriday, Louisiana, she is preceded in death by her parents, Wallace and Helen Cooper; her sisters Rosemary Lee and Debra Kelly; and daughter Alicia Faith Fowler.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, David Fowler; her children, David Fowler, Jr. (Jennifer), Mary McGinnis (Thomas), Suzanne Russell (Edward): her grandchildren, Marq Fowler (Amanda), Cierra Fowler, Daniel Fowler, Noah Fowler, Bethany Cooper (Trey), Emily Fowler, and Alicia Fowler; two great grandchildren, Thayor Fowler and Kip Cooper; her sisters, Wallie Saunier and Katherine Mayer; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home in Hammond, 2000 N Morrison Boulevard, Hammond, Louisiana 70401 on Wednesday, June 7, 2023, beginning at 9:00 AM until the funeral service begins at 11:30 AM.  Officiating the services will be her nephew, Steve Lee.

Interment will follow in Natchez City Cemetery, Natchez, Mississippi at 3:00 PM.

The family would like to give a special thanks to the nurses, staff, physical therapists and the entire care team at Heritage Healthcare of Hammond for their kindness, support and exemplary care of our Mom during her stay.
