Margaret Ann Daughtry

Margaret Ann Daughtry, of Independence, Louisiana, passed away at North Oaks Medical Center on Thursday, August 1, 2024, at the age of 81. She was born on Friday, April 9, 1943, in Hammond, Louisiana.

Margaret is survived by her daughters, Deborah Schaerer (David) and Patricia Simmons; son, Michael Harper (Beth); brothers, Emile Cardinale Jr. (Sherry) and Anthony Cardinale; sisters, Rosalie Eleser and Mary Jones; grandchildren, Samantha Canella (Bryan), Christopher Straughan, Erica Straughan and Kayla Harper; great-grandchildren, Kaitlin Gill, Taylor Gill, and Emilia Canella.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Thomas Daughtry; granddaughter, Angel Simmons Gill; and grandson, Joshua Scott Simmons.

Family and friends will be received at Harry McKneely and Son Funeral Home in Hammond on Saturday, August 3, 2024 from 9:00am until 11:00 am. 

A Funeral Service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Saturday at 11:00a.m.

Interment will follow at Loranger Community Cemetery in Loranger, Louisiana.
