Mrs. Margaret Ann Micele Baglio, 77 years old of Independence, Louisiana, passed away on Wednesday, August 15, 2018, at her residence.
She was born on Thursday, April 3, 1941, in Hammond, Louisiana, daughter of the late Frank and Margaret Alfano Micele.
She retired from the Tangipahoa Parish School System where she was an elementary school teacher and a principle for 26 years. She was dedicated to her family and loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was an avid reader and enjoyed crossword puzzles.
Surviving are her husband of 40 years and love of her life, Charles V. Baglio, Jr., sons, Jack Brian Carona Sr. and his wife Carolyn, Dale Carona and his wife Lisa, daughters, Angela Milazzo and her husband John Sr., Alison Varnado and her husband Rodney, grandchildren, Jack Brian and Adrienne Carona Jr., Candice Carona and Brady Sledge, Amanda Milazzo and Matthew Malachowski, John and Megan Milazzo Jr., Scott and Maggie Sandage Jr., Caitlin Carona and Mitchell Rotolo, Joshua and Chelsea Milazzo, Matthew Carona, Alex Milazzo, great-grandchildren, Ashtyn Sledge, Clay Sledge, Gryffin Sandage, Palmer Sandage, Margaret Ann Malachowski, Robert Michael Malachowski, Marie Adele Carona, Eleanor Christine Malachowski, and her sister and brother-in-law, Phyllis and Blaise Guzzardo.
She is preceded in death by daughter, Marcelle "Marcie" Anzalone.
Friends will be received on Friday, August 17, 2018 from 5:30 pm until 9:00 pm at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home in Hammond and on Saturday, August 18, 2018 at Holy Ghost Catholic Church from 8:30 am until 10:00 am.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday at Holy Ghost Catholic Church beginning at 10:00 am, with Fr. Cayet Mangiaracina, O.P. officiating.
Interment will follow in the Colonial Cemetery Mausoleum Independence, Louisiana.
