Marcy Schatzle Sonnier

Marcy peacefully passed away on Thursday, May 12, 2022 in Hammond, Louisiana surrounded by her loving family.  She was a people person with a heart of gold, who was always willing to help anyone in need.  Marcy was known for her fun charismatic personality that could light up any room.  She was very talented when it came to crafting, such as crocheting and painting, which she passed that passion on to her daughter, Kenley.  She was also a talented hairdresser with a magic touch who could make anyone feel their best. It was known that Marcy was spoiled rotten by her daddy, even so that when she moved out to start her own life, she never went farther than 500 feet from her parents’ home.  Her biggest accomplishment in life was the love she had for her family, especially her children, and making memories with them that they will cherish forever. Marcy was a wonderful wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend to all who knew her and is already deeply missed by all who knew her.

She leaves behind her husband of 13 years, Billy Sonnier; beautiful daughter, Kenley Sonnier; loving son, Liam Sonnier; mother, Beverly S. Schatzle; brother, Kyle Schatzle and wife Brett; nanny, Elaine Schatzle; nan, Earline Starns; mother and father-in-law, Mike and Wanda Pendarvis; grandpup, Sadie Sonnier; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Preceding Marcy in death are her father, Kenneth M. Schatzle; maternal grandparents, Mildred and Marcie Sicard; paternal grandparents, Robert and Lanny Schatzle.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Celebration of Life on Sunday, May 15th, 2022, at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home in Ponchatoula, from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m.
